VoxFile is a Chrome extension that injects user-provided context into AI chat interfaces like ChatGPT and Claude. This Privacy Policy explains what data VoxFile handles and how it is used.
VoxFile collects nothing on our servers. All user data — including profiles,
snippets, and preferences — is stored exclusively in your browser's local
storage (IndexedDB and
chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device.
VoxFile makes network requests to two endpoints operated by VoxFile solely for validating Pro subscription licenses:
These requests transmit only a license key (a random string issued by us) and contain no personal information.
If you upgrade to VoxFile Pro, payments are processed by Razorpay (razorpay.com). Razorpay handles payment information directly. VoxFile never stores or accesses credit card data, billing addresses, or payment details. VoxFile only receives a non-identifying subscription ID.
VoxFile interacts with ChatGPT (chatgpt.com) and Claude (claude.ai) by injecting text you authored into their chat interfaces when you explicitly click the Inject button. VoxFile does not read or store the contents of your conversations.
VoxFile uses no cookies, analytics, or tracking technology of any kind.
Because VoxFile stores no user data on its servers, there is nothing to retain or delete. Your local data persists in your browser until you remove the extension or clear browser storage.
You have full control over all VoxFile data stored on your device. Use the Export and Import features in settings to back up or migrate your data. Removing the extension deletes all locally stored data.
VoxFile is not directed at children under 13 years of age.
If this Privacy Policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of VoxFile after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
